About Small Thyme Catering

We began as a whim and a dream of Larry Kiesler in 1992 while he was the Chef of Petars restaurant in Lafayette. He spent months researching small businesses at all the local Chambers of Commerce. Encouraged by Martinez City Officials and Companies all over Contra Costa, he started molding Small Thyme Catering into the success it is today.

In 2004 he joined forces with Barbara Perry, who had 30 years experience in the Hotel, Restaurant Management and Catering Field. Together, they created Small Thyme Café & Catering Inc.

Still servicing the Contra Costa area, Small Thyme Catering has been able to include a much larger geographic. From Stinson Beach to Half Moon Bay and all the cities in between.

We now have an impeccable staff, from a Cordon BLU certified chefs to talented and qualified servers & bar staff - all working together as a cohesive and experienced team devoted to making your event the dazzling success of your dreams.

We offer tastings by appointment only. During your appointment we will design a menu and service package that will satisfy all your requests. If you don't see what you're interested in through our standard catering menus, just let us know and Chef Larry can create a specialized menu tailored especially for you.
